Installation Note
Important Software Installation Note:
The Vehicle MaintenanceTrac program is supplied with Microsoft Access Runtime for users who do not have Microsoft Access.
Please use the following instructions to install Vehicle MaintenanceTrac:
1. Save the VMTrac.exe file to your computer.
2. Double click the VMTrac.exe file to unzip the files.
3. Click the "Browse" button on the "ZIP 2 Secure EXE" software to select a folder to
unzip the files to.
4. Click the "Next" button to start the software installation.
5. Click the "Typical Installation" button, this will take about a minute or so which will
also install the "Microsoft Access Runtime".
6. Click "Ok" on the two dialogs windows that appear displaying the message saying
the "installation is complete".
7. Click the close button on the "ZIP 2 Secure" zip program to close the dialog window.
8. You should now see the Vehicle MaintenanceTrac icon on the desktop and in the
Windows "Start
Programs" list.
Note: You will receive the following Window Installer dialog message display if you try to install Vehicle MaintenanceTrac when it is already installed: "Another version of the product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of the product use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel".
The program should then be Uninstalled by doing the following: Go to Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel and locate Vehicle MaintenanceTrac in the installed programs list. Click and remove the program. Next locate Microsoft Access Office Runtime 2007 in the installed programs list and remove it.
